The 3rd Forum of the Russian compatriots in Britain, which took place in November 2009 in London, has had an important meeting for the Birmingham representatives. They were introduced to Archpriest Michael Dudko from the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God and All Saints, one of the main places of Orthodox worship in London.

As a result of that meeting there was a Russian Orthodox parish founded in Birmingham. Archpriest Gennadiy who has received the blessing from the Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh, started services in Birmingham. The regular services are held now at
